| ANNUAL CABARET NIGHT - FRIDAY, FEB. 1, 2008 |
| On Sunday, January 13, 2008 Ramapo High School instrumentalists performed at the prestigious Senior Bergen County Band concert at Northern Valley Demarest High School. This "honors" band event featured talented musicians who have been accepted through a competitive audition process.

Christine, Matt and Thomas have also been chosen to the North Jersey Region I band. That audition was on 1/5/08. The students competed against others from the 7 northern counties in NJ.
The concert will be 1/27/08 at Randolph HS. They will audition on 1/19/08 for the All-State Band. We wish them success! |

| On Friday, September 7th, the Ramapo High School Marching Band launched its first musical performance of "Grease". Three songs were performed during Half Time at the 2007 opening game of the Ramapo Raiders football team: Greased Lightning, Summer Nights and Hand Jive. Crowd participation was enthusiastic, with hand clapping and singing along.
The performance also allowed the Ramapo Marching Band to unveil its exciting new uniforms as well as the Color Guard's custom made "Pink Ladies" jackets. Future performances of "Grease" will be at all home games during the 2007 Ramapo Raiders football season, as well as at local and regional Marching Band competitions in New Jersey. For all schedules, please visit our "Calendar" or "Marching Band" pages. The first competition will take place on Sunday, October 7th at the Midland Park High School. Jazz Night 2007 was fantastic. Performances by: the Franklin Avenue Middle School Ensemble and the Indian Hills High School Jazz Ensemble (Dr. James Frankel, Director), the Eisenhower Stage Band (Robert Santin, Director), the Ramapo High School Jazz Band (Mark Friedman, Director) and the Paul Miller Orchestra. This year's attendance was up, and we're looking forward to a full house in 2008. |

Dear Music Parents: We need your support! Please become a member of the Ramapo Music Parents Association. Our membership dues and fund-raising provides scholarships and other activities for members of the Ramapo High School Choir, Chorale, Chamber Choir, Concert, Orchestra, Symphonic and Marching Bands, the Wind Ensemble, the Jazz Ensemble, Color Guard and Winter Guard. In addition, the Music Parents Association invites Seniors to attend the annual Music Awards Dinner as our guests. The scholarships and guest privilege are only available to paid members. |
| Band Camp 2007 - East Stroudsburg, PA |
| East Stroudsburg University is located in the beautiful Poconos in Pennsylvania. It is just across the New Jersey border past Hackettstown, about 67 miles from Franklin Lakes. Directions to E.S.U. / Band Camp: Take Rt. 287 S. to Exit 41B, and get on Route 80 West. Stay on Route 80W for 40+ miles until it crosses into PA. Get off Exit 308 (E. Stroudburg), and bear right on to Prospect Street. The University is just 1/4 to 1/2 mile ahead on your right. Make a right turn onto Normal Street which runs straight through the center of the campus. |
